Student Traveler and work in Ireland

If your looking at coming over to work in Ireland this summer for some work and travel, I have gathered a list of sites that I recommend that you should look at.

1. www.Kapstages.com a site in French, that offers internships in Ireland is a good choice too.
2. www.Nixers.com, this web-site is focused for the younger market, I think 17-25 with be the core group this would be a good place to start.
3. www.Fas.ie, I believe this is one of the most comprehensive job sites in Ireland, and there are plenty entry level jobs to be found, especially if your a student who is planning to travel and work in Ireland.
4. www.Monster.ie, I would think most jobs from this site are for graduates from University or people with experience. www.irishjobs.ie would be a recruitment site for the older market too.
5. www.loadzajobs.ie is another jobs website for the older market.

Of course you know I am going to recommend Travel in Ireland to book your short term accommodation when initially landing.

It’s hard to get information if your living abroad you got to see what jobs are available, some restaurants and pubs advertise jobs on the window, so always keep a look out. I would also look for jobs that require French, I think Fas is a good bet. I would also prepare a very good resume, the jobs market in Ireland in 2009 is not as good as previous years but you always got to try your best. Also I recommend to see as much of Ireland as possible, Galway, Donegal, Cork, Kerry and my home County Dublin are some of my favourite regions in Ireland.

Another tip if your coming over looking for a job is to book in budget accommodations such as hostels, the price is from around 10 euro a night in most parts of the country.

Another word of advice is to get a student card to save money on public transport, especially needed if your locating in the big cities like Dublin, Cork and Galway, well the cities are small for international standards.
