We are at the dawn of the Saint Patricks’s day parade, if its your first time coming to Dublin, Ireland and you want to get the best view of the parade.
I would recommend the following tips to get your position on the parade route March 17th in Dublin.
- Be there before 11 am to get the best positions.
- Don’t get position on top of phone boxes, police usually tell you to step down off them.
- Check weather, anyway this year looks good, I seen weather forecast for Paddy’s day and it will be about 10 Celcius and sunny.
- Make sure you don’t stand near somebody with someone sitting on their shoulders, especially waving flags, this will obstruct your view.
- Check out the parade view map below, I would not recommend to be near Parnell Square as the parade is not in full swing, O Connel street really sees the actions hotting up.
- There are plenty of newsagents around the area to buy soft drinks and snacks, fast food outlets surround the route, so if your hungry , you will have plenty to choose from, there are plenty of good restaurants too, the parade route is very central.
- Lots of pubs near Parade route, so if you want to go for a drink, you will never be to far away.
