Dublin Airport Hotels Part 2
Roganstown Hotel and Country Club- You’ll never know it, but inside the bustling town of Swords is one amazing place that is definitely a relaxing and invigorating place. The McLoughlin Family’s three generations-old oasis is one of the best places to spend your time in Dublin. It is not far from the airport and this means that as soon as you arrive from whatever place you came from, you can immediately find your way into this little nook of heaven. The terrain itself is amazing with woods, rivers and lush fields. The golf course, always a staple in the most luxurious of hotels, is one of the country’s best if not the world’s. The hotel rooms itself has an overview of the golf course, giving everyone, even non-golfers, the feel of being a professional on tour. From your room, you can also see the beautiful Japanese garden as well as the woodlands. If you get tired after going around the excellent remises or after having played a supreme round of golf, you can take a relaxing nightcap at O’Callaghan’s Bar. They have an excellent collection of wines and spirits and the atmosphere alone makes the place worthwhile. If you’re up for some decadent treats however, McLoughlin’s restaurant is the definite place to be.
9) Radisson Hotel Dublin- How long does it take to get from the airport to one of the best hotels in town? No time at all. The Radisson is located in the airport itself but that does not mean that they are scrimping on the amenities. In fact you will be pleasantly surprised that the Radisson boasts of all the amenities that one should expect from the most luxurious of hotels. They have suites, business class rooms and even family rooms which is proof that they understand the clientele that they have. You need not worry about being late for your flight because they have a shuttle service all day and al night. Understandably, some people cannot sleep before a flight or sometimes the flight is at a weird time so perhaps they would rather not spend it in bed tumbling around. For these types of people, There’s the Departures Lounge and the O’Deas Bar. The latter is especially a favorite during the summer time because people can eat outside and enjoy the beautiful weather. You’re never far away from the action at Radisson Hotel Dublin. Just nearby is an indoor swimming pool for those who are so inclined. You can also go fishing and sailing if you wanted to. For the women, the shopping complex is not far away so you can do some of that as well.
10) Waterside House Hotel- Some hotels are luxurious and offer you all the best modern equipment known to man and this is what attracts the clientele. However, some hotels have attractions that aren’t so modern and one of them is the beachfront. The Waterside House Hotel is probably one of the world’s finest. The Slattery family that owns this tremendous place knows exactly what people go here for and they have taken advantage of this fact. Donabate’s sandy beach is one of Dublin’s finest attractions and it is a mere 20 minutes away from Dublin Airport. The restaurants that they have are not only excellent but they are unique as well. Attached to the Tower Bar and Bistro is a lime stone Patio which raises the bar a few levels. The signal restaurant is one of those restaurants with a view and this one has an excellent one as the view is the sea. The Signal Restaurant is their finest however, having won multiple awards left and right. They serve only Ireland’s finest produce and I guess they produce the best out of them.
11) Travelodge Hotel Castleknock- Dublin is not an inexpensive place. Ireland is not a cheap country. You may spend a lot when you’re there but for those who are expense-conscious, one may want to look into Travelodge Hote Castleknock. Nature lovers love this place as it is a departure from the ultra made up expensive hotels. For those who want to have a good time walking around and having personal time with friends and family, there is the Phoenix Park nearby. It is probably the most inexpensive hotels in Dublin. People love it because the rooms are spacious despite the price and the kingsize beds are very comfortable as well. For those who have children, cots may be borrowed but this is on a first-come first-served basis. Remember that Travelodge is one of the most popular places in time so you may need to be quick to ask. One can also do a lot of things in the surrounding areas. There are snooker tables, tennis courts and an indoor swimming pool for those who are into it. There’s a golf course for those golf pro wannabees as well. One extra feature that people particularly like is that guide dogs for the blind are welcome. This is especially good because a lot of hotels do not allow them.
12) Finnstown Country House Hotel- If you want a little bit of history, you may want to visit the Finnstown Country House Hotel. Dating back to the 18th Century, it is listed as one of Burke’s most famous “Irish Houses”. There is something to be said about this place. Some people think that the more modern the place, then the better it is. This is a fallacy and Finnstown proves it to be wrong. Finnstown is an impossibly otherworldly place. It brings you back into the olden days when everything seemed to be pageant-like and formal. It has a real old world feel and not the fabricated kind that seems to be a modern slant on an old design. This one is really the real deal when it comes to old world charm. The ceiling is sky high and with the most intricate designs. The staircase is majestic and is one that is taken from the history books. You feel like an aristocrat and this is exactly how the staff will treat you.
